A course designed to walk you through 12 modules that will give you the skills and knowledge required to take the Diploma of The Worshipful Company of Farriers exam (Dip WCF Int) at a fantastic facility in Uppsala.
Each day will consist of small digestible sessions.
In between session you will have further tasks to complete consisting of:
Questions on the subjects covered
Practical tasks
Research on future subjects
The course will be tutored by some highly qualified farriers with years of experience in farriery.

Rickard Svard AWCF
Started farriery in Sweden 2002 as a passing the Certified Journey Man (CJ)
Passed the higher exam in anatomy 2007 from the Swedish farrier association in collaboration with Uppsala University.
2010-2019 a member of the Swedish farrier team competing at the International at Stoneleigh.
During that time I shod several top end horses in different disciplines.
2013 passed the Swedish Master Farrier exam.
Judged several farrier competitions; Finnish championship, Norwegian team trials, Swedish championship, and local farrier competitions etc.
2023 passed the Associate exam from the Worshipful Company of Farriers
2023/24 I was the farrier in Sweden for Global Champions Tour GCT in Stockholm and The Gothenburg Horseshow World Cup
Currently the resident chief farrier at Strömsholm large animal hospital in Sweden since 2017 were I cover everything from correcting angular limb deformities on foals to top end horses with various defects like navicular syndrome, also working closely with the surgeons on any surgery within the hoof ( i.e. keratoma removal, DP fractures, large abscesses, osteitis etc.)
