Conclude your training with a series of practical assessments designed to test your understanding and application of modern farriery techniques.
Receive personalised feedback from our expert tutors as you demonstrate your skills in realistic scenarios.
You will be presented with a range of common hoof pathologies encountered in everyday farriery practice.
Using the techniques developed over the previous training days โ including; hoof debridement, extensions, rebuilds, crack repair, casting, and the application of shoes with synthetic materials โ you will put your new skills and knowledge into action.
Format
Classroom Session: Introduction and health & safety overview
Lecture: Recap and open discussion of previous tasks
Practical Session: Hands-on assessment to correct and manage a variety of pathologies

Choose your ticket type:
Hands on individual workstation-Ideal to learn new techniques and build skills with tuition from an expert. Mainly aimed at farriers or apprentice farriers.
Observational-Sit in the lectures, observe the demos and the hands on participants. Also ask questions at each workstation. Would suit farriers, apprentice farriers, vets, vet physios or any other paraprofessional.





Tools required:
Pen and paper or computer/tablet
Trimming tools (sharp knives)
1/2 round cutters (optional)
Chaps
PPE, mask, gloves etc
Dremel with assorted bits (optional)
Any additional equipment for hoof debridement
A selection of products will be available to try but if you'd like use your own products that youโre familiar with then bring them along.
